Important dates

14 July 2016. Participation proposals submission opens. Please, send your proposal for oral communications, posters or workshops.

Deadline for proposals submission (oral communications, posters and workshops) extended until 30th November.

12 June 2017. Deadline for online registration. From this moment on, registrations will be made at the conference venue (before the start of the conference).

16 January 2017. Registration opens for all types of participants: authors and attendees.

3 March 2017: Expected notification of acceptance

21, 22 and 23 June 2017: Conference

Call for proposals

To send a proposal for an oral communication, workshop or poster, you must follow these steps:

 

 

2. Once registered, you can proceed to send proposals through the platform:

 

You must select from the menu on the left the option "Paper Submission" and follow the instructions provided.

 

Each author can submit a maximum of two proposals, in any of the modalities of participation, either as an individual author or in co-authorship.

3. Once you have received a notification of acceptance (before 16 January 2017), you must register for the conference in your preferred modality and pay for the registration fee. All attendees must pay for their registration costs. When several authors sign one paper, it requires the payment of one speaker-registration fee, at least.

 

All accepted papers will be accessible to conference attendees prior to the conference. They will be published after the conference in its final version as on-line proceedings hosted in the repository of the University of Málaga (see participation modalities).

 

We welcome proposals for oral communication, poster or workshop presenting TOOLS or RESOURCES related to the following areas:

 

# Tools and Resources for the phonetic and phonological study of language

# Tools and Resources for voice studies

# Tools and Resources for clinical phonetics

# Tools and Resources for forensic phonetics

# Tools and Resources for speech technologies

# Tools and Resources related to the L1 / L2 phonetics and phonology acquisition.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Participation modalities

 

The official languages of the conference are English and Spanish.

 

There are four participation modalities:

 

# Oral communication

# Poster

# Workshop

# Attendee (general or student)

 

 

All proposed oral communications or poster papers have to be sent in PDF format via the web platform, and must comply with the document length (60,000 characters, approx.) and with the characteristics described by the following templates:

For the workshops, scheduled for the afternoon of June 21st, authors can also submit TOOLS and RESOURCES of general interest to the experts community in any of the areas or topics related to Speech Sciences. The Scientific Committee will evaluate and prioritize the proposals regarding their relevance to the conference, its internal organization, the qualifications of its authors and the attractiveness the proposal may have for participants and conference attendees. Workshop proposals must be sent in PDF format and must comply with the indications of the following template:

Publication of papers

 

Note that, when accepted for the Conference, submission of papers (associated either to oral or poster presentations or workshops proposals) implies the acceptance of the papers publication in the Conference Proceedings Book, to be published after the Conference, which will be available by its corresponding ISBN at the free access repository of the Universidad de Málaga, RIUMA.

 

RIUMA is the Institutional Repository of the Universidad de Málaga, whose aim is to ease and improve the visibility of scientific and academic production of the University, allowing open access to its contents and guaranteeing the preservation and conservation of this production. The collection includes articles, scientific works, teaching material, digitalized old collection and other documents in different digital formats.

 

Participants will be able to send a final revised version of their papers, if they wish, within the time terms established in the Agenda, from 16 January 2017 to 15 September 2017, before the publication of the Conference Proceedings Book.

General Terms

SPEAKERS: From 14 July 2016 to 30 November 2016, speakers will be allowed to register on-line and send papers. Once the proposals are accepted (communication of acceptance will be sent to participants before 16 January 2017), speakers will be able to complete registration by paying the fees according to the corresponding participation modalities.

 

NON-SPEAKER ATTENDEES and STUDENTS: From 16 January 2017.

  • Inscription confirmation:

The Technical Secretariat of the Congress will issue an invoice to all the enrolled who have fulfilled the information and paid their fee.

  • Bill issuing

The Technical Secretariat of the Conference will send a receipt to all registered users upon registration payment.

  • Cancelation policy

The cancellation of the inscription must be reported in writing to the Technical Secretariat via e-mail to subsidiamalaga2017@seatra.es and it will have a charge of 30€ in concept of administrative expenses in any case.

  • Cancellations received from 1 March 2017 to 1 May 2017 will have a 50% penalty on the inscription fee.
  • Cancellations received from May the 1st 2017 will not have any refund.

On-line payment at the end of the registration process.

 

To ensure a secure transaction environment, we will request the credit card authentication codes for Internet operations provided by your bank entity.
